Managing your web presence

I’m running a new course next month entitled ‘Developing your web presence: the librarians guide’ on Thursday 24th November in the Learn Higher Room, Room 2010c, Geoffrey Manton Building, Manchester Metropolitan University, Rosamund St. West, Manchester, M15 6LL. The day runs from 10am-3.30pm

The course is being organised by the CILIP CSG-Information Literacy Group training event

Course outline

This session aimed at librarians, covers how to shape your web profile and promote your research and other activities via different online arenas. This includes using repositories, departmental & personal webpages, blogs and academic (social) networking sites. It also includes tips when writing for the web and guidance on running a similar course in your own institution. The course tutors have been running this course in their own institution for academic staff and researchers and will share their experiences. In addition to help you develop your own web presence, you will learn how to support others.
